Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a referral?
No, you don’t need a referral to see a dietitian. However, any medical history or results you have from your GP or specialist will be helpful to send to us prior to your consultation. You can speak with your GP to see if you are eligible for a Medicare Chronic Disease Management Plan / Enhanced Care Plan, which with a referral will allow you to claim a rebate for part of the consultation cost.
Can I claim through private health insurance?
Yes, most private health insurers provide rebates for dietitian consultations under extras cover. The amount you can claim depends on your policy. We recommend checking directly with your insurer.
What can I expect in an initial consultation?
In your first appointment, we’ll take the time to understand your health history, current symptoms, diet, lifestyle, and goals. From there, we’ll develop a personalised nutrition plan tailored to your condition and preferences. Follow-up appointments are used to adjust the plan and support long-term progress. We will communicate with your GP and specialists throughout your treatment with us.
How many appointments will I need?
The number of appointments varies depending on your goals and condition. Some clients may need only one or two sessions, while others with more complex needs may benefit from ongoing support over several months.
What conditions do you treat?

-
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice incur a fee of 50% of the appointment cost. This helps us manage our schedule and offer your appointment time to others who may be waiting.
